In 1965 Fritz Häcker first developed a ready-to-use jelly under the name „PLAKAL“(an acronym of „PLAnKAschierLeim“). PLAKAL soon conquered the graphics industry. The continuous improvement of the formulas and selected additives make PLAKAL versatile and adjustable to very different applications and machinery. Protein adhesives have strong benefits: they are environmentally friendly and biodegradable. Recently, Fritz Häcker has developed more ready-to-use products for book covers, for boxes, for laminates, for large-format gluing and for gluing of foldable boxes:
